HSE Prosecutions

At Health and Safety Today, we aim to keep you up to date with the HSE latest prosecutions and news.

Is it just food for thought?

work place accidents and tragediesTo be honest it should be a lot more than that.

These are real life prosecutions by the HSE of work place accidents and tragedies. The conclusion in every one of these cases is that the incident was totally preventable. Yet instead companies large and small continually put workers at risk by cutting corners or taking the attitude of it won’t happen to them.

The result often being workers maimed or injured for life. Some workers never return to their families, while companies or directors face heavy fines and jail sentences.

Is it worth it?
